About the Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church, of which Christ Church is a part, is a member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The mission of the church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism, is "to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ."

About the Diocese of Long Island

Christ Church in Port Jefferson is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. There are 132 member churches in the diocese, which stretches from Brooklyn and Queens all the way out to the east end of Long Island.
