Hands of Love (Knitting Ministry)

Starting out as a knitting group, Hands of Love has blossomed into so much more: a dedicated corps of women (and some men) who not only knit and crochet hats and mittens and scarves and socks but also purchase them, sending them to needy children here on Long Island and out to Indian reservations in the Midwest. They purchase badly needed items, too, like band-aids and q-tips and tissues and toothpaste and toothbrushes. Everyone is welcome to participate (men too!) and no experience with yarn is required.
